America Turns 250: Where to Celebrate the Fourth Around Baldwin County

The nation’s semiquincentennial lands this summer. From Daphne’s June 26 kickoff to two nights of racing in Loxley, an all-day Fourth in Robertsdale, a 250-musician concert in Fairhope, and fireworks along the coast, here’s the Independence Day schedule taking shape across Baldwin County.

The United States turns 250 in 2026, and the semiquincentennial — the nation’s 250th birthday — is shaping this summer’s Independence Day calendar. Across Baldwin County, celebrations range from a county kickoff in Daphne to two nights of racing in Loxley, a veterans’ musical in Foley, an all-day Fourth in Robertsdale, and a 250-musician concert in Fairhope. Here is what has been announced so far; we’ll add more as they’re confirmed.

Two nights of USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour winged sprint cars plus late models, modifieds and stock cars, with “huge fireworks both nights,” billed as a “Freedom 250” marking 250 years.

The City of Robertsdale’s all-day Fourth: a backyard BBQ contest at 11 a.m. (judging at noon; proceeds benefit the Robertsdale Volunteer Fire Department), the Patriotic Pet Parade at 1 p.m. (pre-register with Mary at 251-947-8973), and activities from 2 to 6 p.m. — plus live music, food trucks, games and bounce houses, and fireworks after dark. Bring a lawn chair.

Fish Fry Fundraiser & Pool Tournament

A Fourth of July fish-fry fundraiser and “Jack & Jill” Scotch-doubles pool tournament (bring your own partner) at the Fairhope VFW; $60 per team, and fish-fry plates will be available.

The Flora-Bama’s 6th annual Freedom Run steps off at 8 a.m. — a 4-mile run/walk or 1-mile fun run, with a race shirt, swag and a post-race party — followed by a day on the beach and fireworks at 9 p.m. over the state line.

The city ties this year’s show to the nation’s 250th. The pier closes that morning, about 8 a.m. to noon, for setup. The city’s information line is 251-968-1171.
